Periodical: library notes, 1960-1975 [state publication].

Library Notes was a quarterly publication which covered a wide variety of topics affecting the library community. Present are reports on the status, policies, and administration of the Library Services Act and Library Services and Construction Act funds, highlights of activities and future projects of the agency, news of public libraries in the state, summaries of special events, conferences, and awards, book reviews, notices of library courses available, feature articles on staff of public libraries in the state, announcements of appointments to national committees, notes about "people and places," lists of references which aid in library administration, and news of the state association. Photographs illustrate new library buildings or additions, persons at conferences and special events, officers of the association, trustees, etc. The years from 1958 through 1962 are indexed biennially. Earlier issues may be found in publications of the Dept. of Archives and History, Public Library Service Division. Library Notes kept the library community informed about various events and programs and served to encourage the use of libraries in the state.
